( votes)For those rolling off a ferry at Dunkerque or Calais, the motorhome aire Gravelines makes a convenient stop over. The aire is at Rue du Port at Gravelines, close to the marina.
Whilst there are no facilities at the aire, there is a service point about 1/2 mile away at a cost of two euro. Within a short walking distance, there is a Super U supermarket and petrol station. The fuel forecourt offers diesel a lot cheaper than in the UK – and a lot cheaper than on the French motorways. Take care which number pump you use – access is tight.
Motorhome aire Gravelines – the cost
Gravelines aire can accommodate larger motorhomes as you can see. The cost of using the aire at Gravelines is six euro per night, payable at a machine. For details of thousands more aires and stellplatz, read our review of the Camperstops in Europe book, – click here.
There are also some campsites in the area and details of these and the surrounding area are available on this French tourism website.
Nice to see you are off on your travels again. Wherever you are off to we’re looking forward to reading your blog. Safe journey. Cliff & Sue
Very useful aire for first night. Travel through the tunnel is cheaper the later you travel so we use Gravelines almost every time. Cost has risen to 10€ now.
Thank you for the update regarding the price.
Thanks for the heads up about price change
