( votes)Back in February, I was travelling on a train from Holyhead to Chester and I spotted an unknown caravan site perched on an elevated position, and overlooking the sea. With help from Caravan Talk readers, the name of the site was suggested to be Bron Y Wendon Caravan Park at Llanddulas, just on the North Wales Coast. A quick read of the Sea View Camping book confirmed the same. As a result of these investigations I made a booking without delay.
Booking in is efficient and I was directed to a pitch. Whilst I was not offered a choice of pitch, this is not particularly unusual, more so bearing in mind the length of the Kon-tiki. The pitch itself is probably the largest one I have ever stayed on. I estimate it to be about 35 feet long, and almost as wide! It has a Tarmac hard stand area, a gravel area to the side and also an area of grass.
In addition to the size of the pitch, the sea views are delightful.
A stroll around the grounds suggested that pitches did vary in size. However, most – if not all – offer a sea view.

- Further shower and toilet area (new) adjacent to a games room
- Games room with ping-pong table, sofas, selection of magazines and TV

- Choice of pitches – grass or hard standing, both with electric. Some “super” pitches with fresh water supply

Most pitches have access to 16 amps hook up and fresh water. Many have a drain facility.
A short walk from the site entrance, and you are either at the pebble beach or in the village centre, Llanddulas. Llanddulas offers a couple of pubs, post office, general store and a news agents. There is a bus service, the number “12”, offers a frequent service to Llandudno, Colwyn Bay and Rhyl. Alongside the beach are fairly flat walking and cycle routes.

We have visited the site many times, the latest in January 2016. On the downside, there is some road and rail noise.
