This is one of those motorhome accessories which, if it was a genuine motorhome accessory – a genuine motorhome waste water tank draining pipe – would cost and arm and a leg, but as it is a household dishwasher part, it costs just a few pounds.
We have a Swift Kontiki 675 with electric waste valve. This is great but the waste outlet is underneath the van in, midway in terms of the width of the van, but located towards the rear. It’s great when driving over a motorhome service point, but not ideal if on a pitch for several days. This is where our home made contraption comes in.
Attach one end of a dishwasher waste water pipe to the motorhome waste water outlet and put the other end into the drain or your waste water hog. It’s possible to extend the flexi pipe using rigid plasic piping – we found our piece in skip….. Cost to us – NIL! The slight downside to all this is gett ing on the floor to push the flexi pipe onto the motorhome outlet. It’s no great shakes though as the pipe just pushes on – we do not use a jubilee clip or anything. In fact, there is a though. Maybe I could leave the flexipipe in place and cable tie or jubiliee clip it to the edge of the motorhome body, within easier reach…Simply unclip and drop into a drain hole.
Our dishwasher waste pipe is 29 mm at one end which pushes firmly onto the motorhome water outlet. The other end is 22 mm which will connect easily to a piece of plastic pipe.
Waste water tank draining pipe – where to buy?
Dishwasher parts are available in most plumbers merchants, DIY shops or on line such as the Amazon example above.

Brilliant suggestion! I have a Swift Norden 599FB (Select 174 equivalent) that has the waste outlet stupidly located in the middle of the underside of the van and unless the vicle is on levelling ramps, unaccessible with a rolling waste tank. Thanks for theis solution!
