I often think the hardest part of motorhoming is cleaning, washing and keeping the Kontiki in tip-top condition. This is especially after the winter period when there is more road grime etc. Silky Products Deep Clean is a cleaning products that shifts deep grime.

If listening to the weather forecast was to be believed, there was some dry weather around the corner. I thought this spring time weather would be a good time to shift some of the winter muck and grime – such technical talk – that the Kontiki has acquired over winter. After every trip, I give the ‘van a quick wash but I had noticed some very stubborn black marks that I had not been able to shift with a sponge, a sponge wrapped in a bit of old net curtain (this gives a gentle abrasive) or even the washing brush.

I had no idea what the black marks were but they did feel rough to the touch. I’m always a little dubious about trying new cleaning products but I was not disappointed with Silky Products Deep Clean. This concentrated liquid comes in a one litre bottle so it is not taking up much space in the locker. Following the instructions on the bottle, I applied just a small about of the black dots had gone!

Silky Products Deep Clean removes dead flies too!

The other “war” tends to be the battle of the insects and the motorhome. Invariably dead insects stick to the front of the ‘van – these are gone in seconds with Silky Products Deep Clean

There is no hard rubbing, no scrubbing, just a very gentle action applying the fluid with a cloth. Over the next twenty minutes or so, I worked my way around all wheel arches and also the diesel filler area – it might only look like a tiny drop of diesel that was spilled at the time, but the filler area was in a right old state – it’s just like day one now.
