This week, it was time to cross the channel as a foot passenger, enjoying some low-cost fares offered by a national newspaper. To start the trip off, and to set me up for the day, I took breakfast in the P&O Brasserie restaurant on board the Spirit of France. The following day, same breakfast in the “Brasserie” restaurant on board the Pride of Canterbury.

P&O Brasserie

Fresh fruit salad as a starter…..

P&O Brasserie breakfast – what you get for your hard-earned.

  • Pot of coffee – it made a good three cups full
  • Orange juice
  • Choice of starter – I had fresh fruit salad. Cereals available.
  • Round of toast – cooked properly – not just shown the toaster
  • Full English (steak breakfast was available for a small supplement)
  • The price on the day was £13 per head

The tables are well presented, with adequate room to manoeuvre. Now thinking about this, this has to be the way to start and end a holiday,  a good fry up in a waiter service restaurant at sea!

P&O Brasserie restaurant – pricing and menus
