The Stena Europe is owned and operated by Stena Line. Built originally in 1981, she crosses the Irish Sea, twice per day, connecting Fishguard, South Wales to Rosslare, Ireland. The voyage itself was calm and smooth, sadly, so there is very little to report.
Embarkation at Fishguard was about 45 minutes before sailing time. Foot passengers join via the walkway. Disembarkation at Rosslare was very quick, again via a walkway.
Interestingly, the Stena Europe left her berth at Rosslare some twenty minutes early, but arrived on time at Fishguard.
The 2115 sailing from Rosslare to Fishguard features hot meals at just £4.99. I opted for the “stew with a Swedish twist”. This is a fairly new addition to the Stena menu, so I gratefully tasted a sample before purchasing.
Enjoy!
Looking as calm and collected as ever, the Stena Europe is approaching Fishguard.
The Stena Europe has the appearance of “an old liner” rather than a ferry.
