2012 Swift Kontiki has been ordered

New van – 2012 Swift Kontiki 679

At long last! After a lot of searching, looking at other models from the Dethelffs A7871-2 to the Autotrail Chieftain and from Challenger caravans to Conqueror caravans, I have finally ordered a new motorhome. My present Kontiki 679 serves very well indeed. However, more and more often, I am accompanied by a travelling companion, especially on overseas trips. Consequently, an extra bunk was looking more and more desirable. With this in mind, I have ordered a 2012 Swift Kontiki 679 with the high line option. This a double berth above the driving cab.

2012 Swift Kontiki – excellent spec

I have only had time for a “glance” at the new 2012 Swift Kontiki and have also watched the video on the Practical Motorhome website. The number of features I really like seems to have increased. Noteworthy of a mention, the rear ladder has been removed from the 2012 Kontiki model range. That said, I have probably used the rear ladder less than a dozen times in three years. Consequently, this feature is unlikely to be missed. The washroom has had a major revamp, there is additional external storage and kitchen area looks to benefit from a new splash back.

I am now busy making arrangements for the removal of my satellite system from the present motorhome and then this can be refitted to the newcomer in due course.

The exact delivery is to be confirmed. Hopefully, we will have the new 2012 Swift Kontiki in time for the trip to Rome in mid November this year.

The deposit is paid, so all that is to do now is await delivery of my new ‘van. Full details of this and all other Swift ‘vans are available on the Swift Group website.
