Aire de Camping Car Selestat

A new destination for us – the Aire de Camping Car Selestat. Within the beautiful Alsace region of France and close to key motorways when heading towards Switzerland and Italy, Selestat is a great stop over but also a destination in itself. Entrance to the aire is via a barrier system. The payment machine is before you enter the aire, so payment first and the the barrier will lift. Noteworthy of a mention, there is a sign stating that twin axle motorhomes are not permitted. However, in addition to the Motorhome Voyager, another is also in residence!

Facilities at the Aire de Camping Car Selestat

  • Fresh water point – easy to access
  • Grey water point – again, easy access
  • Secure – barrier system in place
  • Decent size parking plots, noting the restriction for tag axles
  • 16 amps electric! Particularly useful for winter stop overs!
  • Chemical disposal point
  • Easy access to Seletsat town centre – well work a visit – even in the rain!

If visiting the area but you prefer a campsite with more facilities, then right next door to the Aire de Camping Car Selestat, you will find the Camping Municipal. Both the aire and the campsite are available in the run up to Christmas which is when you will find the Alsace Christmas Markets to be in full swing. Other possible stopovers in the Alsace include the nearby camping at Obernai.
