The Alpamare waterpark Scarborough offers overnight parking – in fact parking for 24 hours – for just £6. This is payable at a machine by either card or cash. Being a parking area rather than an official “aire” or “camperstop”, there are no facilities available wha so ever, other than hard stand parking. However, adjacent, there is the Tunny Catch pub offering good value meals and a wide selection of drinks.
The Alpamare waterpark Scarborough itself is well worthy of a visit. Prices vary according to season, but the outdoor pool was fantastic. Equally, the waterslides were fun – and fast.
A public footpath runs alongside the waterpark and is around a ten minute walk at most to the promenade and beach. Dog walkers and cyclists will not be disappointed – there are many walks available including around the North Bay. Interestingly, there is a chemical disposal point on the road towards the town centre.
Just a few minutes walk from the Alpamare, you will find a Tesco Express.
During our stay, there was a concert taking place at the outdoor theatre. As a result, we were able to enjoy a free music performance!
It is not possible to prebook parking – this is a public car park. However, you are able to book entrance to the water park online – click here.
But hasn’t this Park closed down this week? Will this parking also close?
Just for information Alpamare has announced it’s closure until ‘maybe’ Spring 2024, as it can’t afford the heating bill for the rest of this year. I have no idea if this impacts the Parking Area in your post.
