User Review
( votes)Nordlingen stellplatz became our home for the night after a good day travelling along the “Romantische Straße”. The stellplatz is located just a short walk from the town centre and has toilets/wash basins in the car parking area. These facilities were available from 0700 – 1900 approximately and are accessible without charge. However, whilst the toilets were clean, they did not smell very good at all.
The actual parking tariff was not overly clear, but we think a ticket of three euro allowed overnight parking. Certainly in the morning, a parking attendant appeared and paid no attention to the Kon-tiki.
Electricity tariff at the Nordlingen stellplatz
Electric hook up is available at the Nordlingen stellplatz and this is priced at two euro for two kilowatt hours. Note – one “two euro coin” for a total of two kilowatt hours, but you can add another two euro coin for another two kilowatts. Some websites suggest that two euro is valid for 24 hours worth of electricity, but this is NOT the case. It may be that the two kilowatts that you purchase “expires” after 24 hours, so for example, just running your fridge on electric may not use two kilowatts in 24 hours, but your initial payment of two euro may expire after 24 hours.
Fresh water is available, but we could not find a dump point. There are some “ordinary drains”, but we opted to take our grey elsewhere!
On the plus side, you are close to the town centre and the river but on the downside there is a railway line adjacent and some road traffic noise. There are toilets available between 0700 and 1900 if needed.
