( votes)There are a few choices of a place to park when visiting Pisa, the city famous for the Piazza dei Miracoli and of course the leaning tower. The Pisa camper sosta is just over a mile from the historical monuments. The city centre can be reached easily on foot or by bus. There is a bus stop outside the entrance to the Pisa camper sosta. The journey to the city centre takes a few minutes.
Access to the camper stop is via a one way street. The address is 78, Via di Pratale, Pisa. You will need to pass through these arches – the height limit is 3.2 metres.
The tariff at the Pisa camper sosta varies according to your length of stay. It is possible to visit purely for the motorhome service point, to stay for a few hours or remain in situ for an overnight stay. Our overnight stay cost twelve euro, plus three euro for electric. This tariff includes the price of the service point.

The service point is very easy to use and offers access for large ‘vans.
Electric hook up is available at three euro per night. This is advertised as 500 watts maximum. The Alde hot water boiler is however working fine as we speak on the one kilowatt setting.
The location is quiet enough, bearing in mind the city location. There is some aircraft noise, perfect for a spot of spotting!
How to reach the Pisa camper sosta
When approaching Pisa, there are many signs for the “Via Pratale” motorhome parking. Look for the motorhome symbol. The website giving more details of the sosta is available here.
However, if you prefer a campsite, then this site is only a few miles from Pisa.
