Camping Beau Village is in a small village called Villiers sur Orge, about 12 miles to the south of Paris. This is easy to find and just of the N20.

We received a very friendly welcome upon arrival from Alexandre, the receptionist on duty. He offered us information about the site, the local amenities in the village and also answered our many questions about the local train service.

All the mod cons at Camping Beau Village

On site facilities include two toilet/shower blocks, laundry facilities, a games room with ping-pong tables, pool and also various desks set up with power points for those wishing to enjoy the FREE WiFi facilities. Water and waste water points are dotted around the site. There is also an on site bar with outside seating area.

I had pre booked our stay and had pointed out the size and weight of the motorhome. Alexandre was still able to offer us a choice of pitch and took us around the site etc whilst we made our minds up. Despite our arriving on a Wednesday, the site was very busy with a mixture of caravans and motorhomes.

There is a  train station is located at St Genevieve,  about a 10 minute walk from Camping Beau Village. Trains run regularly into Paris and the journey takes about 35 minutes. Return tickets cost around 7 euro. The village of Villiers sur Orge offers a boulangerie, small supermarket and a pharmacy.

Camping Beau Village is open all year round and would make a good destination for a winter city break. The close proximity to the N20 and A6 motorway would also see this site be a good transit stop for those heading to Spain.

If visiting Paris again, we would definitely return. Whilst ACSI is not accepted, the site fees are more than reasonable – details here
