Camping Cappuccini is a medium sized campsite located close to Peschiera del Garda at the south end of Lake Garda. We had previously visited the site just to have a look around, but having stayed at Camping Cappuccini in April 2014, the site has established itself as a firm favourite with the Motorhome Voyager!

Finding the site is easy enough, the Hotel Cappuccini next door is well sign posted from the main road. Once inside the main gates, a large reception area and bar area awaits. The usual Italian requirement to hand over the passport etc took place and then we were offered a choice of pitches based on asking for a “pitch at least nine metres long”. We were not disappointed and many pitches are long enough for an RV, never mind a tag axle!

Generous sized pitches and most were separated from those adjoining by a hedge

Facilities at Camping Cappuccini include:

  • Well appointed shower blocks with VERY hot water and plenty of it!
  • Chemical disposal point
  • Camper stop/motorhome service point
  • Bar – also service lovely cappuccino!
  • Mini market
  • Free WiFi (only near reception, but free none the less)
  • Good sized swimming pool (closed during our stay – early season)
  • Cycle hire
  • Barbecues available to borrow – saves having to take your own
  • Play area for children

In addition, for a deposit of two euro, you are given a key. This key unlocks the gate giving direct access to the Lake and some lovely lakeside walkways. Some pitches are of a particularly good size and most are fairly level. The site is tiered into terraces and we were on the upper level. Some pitches offer superb lake views – these were occupied when we arrived but……watch this space!

As you can see, we have visited the site numerous times, with at least two different motorhomes!

It is possible to pre book a pitch, and a specific pitch at that. A deposit of 50 euro is required at the time of making the advance reservation
