( vote)Making good use of a discount voucher given to us by Camping Internazionale, we are now on site at Camping Colleverde Siena. Camping Colleverde Siena translates as “Green Hill” and is easy to see why this name is so appropriate for this quality campsite. It is very easy to reach the site following signs firstly to the ospedale (hospital) and then camping signs.
Access to the city centre is possible on foot or by bus. There are two different bus services offering short journeys into the centre. Tickets cost 1.50 euro one way.
There are a couple of motorhome parking places in Siena, but one of these does not appear “secure” enough for our liking.
Upon arrival, the receptionist suggested which pitching area would be most suitable for our 9.01 metre long camper, with the alternatve option being – you’ve guessed it – the coach park. The coach park has electric hook up and water faciities and is at the highest point on the site. Consequently, there are some superb views towards Siena and the duomo (cathedral). Aside, we are more than happy to pitch in the coach park as now and again, Sydney does give off a bark or two!

This site is pretty much top dollar and whilst not the cheapest of sites that we have visited, you get what you pay for and this is no exception.
