Approximately one hour driving time from the port of Calais, Camping de la ferme des Saules offers a very comfortable and peaceful night stop. A short drive away, is the Belgian town of Ieper, where you can visit the Menin Gate. Within a short distance are various shops including Intermarche and E LeClerc, both offering competitively prices on fuel. We accessed the Intermarche fuel forecourt with the car and caravan, no problems with access.

This site caters for motorhomes, caravans, tents and also has small lodges/gites for hire. Consequently, the on site facilities are plentiful and cater for everyone! Facilities available include:

  • Very generous size pitches
  • An amazing on site shop selling g local produce, meat and dairy products
  • Pitches with or without electricity
  • Free WiFi
  • Laundry (4 euro, large capacity machine)
  • Childrens play area
  • Amenity block (unisex) with toilets and showers
  • Chemical disposal point
  • Communal room with fridges, hob and microwave
  • Goats and hens
  • A very warm welcome from the owner

Camping de la ferme des Saules – how to book.

Booking is easy. You are able to reserve online using the site’s own website. We never pre-book but if we had to, we would not use third party sites. As an alternative, and just over the border in Belgium, consider staying at Camping Jeugdstadion at Ipres, approximately ninety minutes from Calais.
