( votes)Camping Pemont is one of a dozen or so campsites in the town/commune of Livigno. We had looked at one site that quoted us 28 euro for the night. However, we felt that was overpriced, so we left and discovered Camping Pemont, just next door. The price is twenty euro for the night outside the high season.
Great on site facilities at Camping Pemont
In addition to some lovely views, the site offers the following facilities
- All hard stand pitches
- Pitches are clearly marked, keeping a neat and tidy look – quite unusual for an Italian site!
- Three amps electric – enough for our 500 watts travel kettle, the fridge and charging mobiles etc
- Motorhome service point
- Wi-Fi – we were unsure if this was free or chargeable as we did not use the service
- Shower/toilet facilities
- Laundry
- Pot wash
It is fair to say that sometimes, sites in Italy are not the most neat and well-kept, with pitches not clearly marked, but here at Camping Pemont, the opposite is true.
There is also a small bar area on site, adjacent to the reception area and also a wellness centre. Worth noting, the toilet/shower facilities are underground, down a flight of steps, but there is an electronic chair lift for the less able.
A walk into the (rather sprawling) town/village centre took about 15 minutes, but there is also a bus stop close by. The bus was free of charge for some reason.
Camping Pemont is open all year round and so makes a good base for those seeking the summer activities such as walking and cycling, but also the skiers in winter. Full tariff information available on Pemont’s website
Both mobile phone and satellite TV reception were good at Camping Pemont. This was a transit stop for us whilst travelling from Switzerland through the Italian Alps, but this would make a lovely base for a longer stay.
