A quick update on this event. I have today knocked out 160 x 33.3m lengths, over five kilometres in total, and raised over £600 for the Forget me Not children’s hospice in Huddersfield. My target was 150 lengths, being bang on the 5 km mark, so I nobbled a few extra for good measure. The first ten were the hardest, and also a point about midway when I felt hungry, but a Mars bar solved that crisis!
The next project is the 10km challenge, probably in early 2014.
With thanks to all those who have sponsored me, made a donation, put up with me moaning and also big thanks to Spenborough Swimming Pool for making a lane available for this.
