Day 1 was a drive through very challenging wind conditions, so much so the Kontiki’s mpg dropped to just 19mpg, compared to the usual 26-28. Popped in to have a look at the new Marquis dealership near Sheffield. A two night stop at the Camping and Caravanning Club Teversal
After a couple of days, on then to the Camping and Caravanning Club Hertford, driving in worse conditions than on Wednesday, but with more side winds than headwinds but calling first at Alde UK to get the battery back up device installed. Trip into London by train, an easy excursion from this CCC site.
On then to the last of the trio of CCC sites, this time Canterbury, with a round trip on board the Pride of Kent and then another on board the Spirit of Britain
