The Fire Fighters Charity can earn up to £200 per tonne of old clothes, shoes and textiles. Such items are placed in bright yellow boxes that carry The Fire Fighters Charity logo. These recycling bins can be found in certain car parks and so on, but also at some fire stations. The fire station at Moira near Swadlincote has one of the recycling bins on their forecourt. It is also possible to recycle old mobile phones by requesting a collection envelope by clicking here
Many of us will have experienced first hand the fire fighters’ service – whether you called 999 as the first on the scene at an accident or have had to have first hand assistance.

Thanks again Russell, for highlighting and supporting The Fire Fighter’s Charity.
Nice one.
Jock.
Of course if anyone has any shoes, textiles etc that they are throwing away, drop them off in my rear locker until next time I am passing a recycling bank.
