A few months ago, we visited the motorhome “aire” at St Anne’s on Sea. St Anne’s on Sea is a couple of miles south of Blackpool. We were in St Anne’s again recently and were pleased to see the aire looking busy. Details of the aire are available here on our website. Although St Anne’s is close to Blackpool, it would be a fair old walk. Here is some information featuring Blackpool Transport, to get from St Anne’s to Blackpool and Fleetwood. Opposite the pier at St Anne’s, head for St Anne’s square. Here, you will find buses to Blackpool and Cleveleys. Some buses stop at Starr Gate which is the starting point for many of the tram services.
Tickets are available to purchase on board buses and trams. There are also a couple of Blackpool Transport travel shops which sell tickets. Local Paypoint outlets sell tickets and there is also an online service.
The Blackpool1 ticket offers excellent value for money.

Full details of Blackpool Transport is available here. However, there are also services provided by other operators such as Stagecoach but we liked the £4.50 Blackpool Transport travel card. The travel card is actually called a “Blackpool1” ticket. Note the “Blackpool1” ticket is only valid on services provided by Blackpool Transport. It is not valid on services provided by other operators.
During our day visit, we had a return bus trip from St Anne’s to Starr Gate and then a tram return from Starr Gate to Fleetwood. The latter makes for a cost effect way to view the illuminations!
