( votes)One issue that motorhomers and caravanners will always need to address is that of water. Most modern motorhomes have an on board waste water tank. Consequently, waste water from washing up and so on drains into the waste water tank. The “dirty” water remains in situ until a time when the motorhome is moved to a drain facility. Most campsites will have a drain or a motorhome service point. However, moving the motorhome just to empty the grey water tank is not always convenient. With this in mind, a few days ago I purchased a Fiamma waste water carrier to assist in this activity. Caravans rarely have an on board waste water tank and so an outdoor portable waste water carrier is essential.
This smaller than average waste tank has a capacity of twenty-three litres. Whilst this is less than other waste water carriers on the market, the smaller size of the Fiamma waste water carrier does ensure that this accessory takes up less storage space when in transit. Also, I have tried the “Waste Master” and the “Waste Hog” but I felt that in addition to being bulky, both were also very heavy, particularly if moving over loose gravel.
The Fiamma 23 litre waste water carrier feels much more manageable than some of it’s larger counterparts. It has a folding handle which makes storage easier. The wheels are sturdy and are formed in durable plastic.
Where can I buy a Fiamma waste water carrier?
These 23 litre waste water carriers can be bought on line through Amazon.
The waste container is supplied by Fiamma. Fiamma also supply a large number of other accessories for caravans and motorhome. Why not have a browse through the Fiamma website? Fiamma also sell a twenty-three litre fresh water carrier that may be a good alternative to the usual round, barrel types.
In your write up, Russell, you illustrate a flexible pipe leading into the container. Look as I may, I am unable to find a specific OEM part number for this item and even scanning through the Fiamma catalogue doesn’t throw anything up. I may of course be simply overlooking the obvious each time though so can you help out here?
Hi – the bit of flexi hose is from a fish pond shop/garden centre. The flexi pipe screws into an adaptor that fastens the flexi host to the rigid waste water outlet.
OK, thanks for the reply, Russell, much appreciated. 🙂
